Love potion

It has been a while since I last wrote a poem, so why not write one that's a Cautionary Tale to loving a girl by earning her love rather than achieving it through Debonair and Looks, or in my poem's case, a Love Potion.

I was inspired a bit by prom last night when I saw the girl I like dance with the guy she likes. Story behind that is that the guy sort of ignores her for long periods of time and only seldom goes out with her yet she clings onto him anyways. The boy doesn't have to put some effort into their relationship because he knows that the girl would still like him.

*Sigh* Meanwhile even after a year of effort and dates, she still doesn't like me back. 
But right now who the heck cares? We're friends and I treasure our friendship.
